What is My Spanish Sorpresa?

My Spanish Sorpresa is the first and original bilingual monthly book subscription that sends beautiful authentic Spanish & Bilingual children's books.  You can even add worksheets, and a fun family activity to the books you receive. My Spanish Sorpresa is the easy and fun way to add to your children's book collection! 

Don't speak Spanish at home? Thats ok, our books are written in both English and Spanish.

 Each month, your little one will eagerly open their own Spanish Sorpresa!

How does My Spanish Sorpresa Work?

We have an amazing team that have a passion for children’s books, bilingualism and their Hispanic/Latino heritage! There are so many great bilingual books out there that are undiscovered, so we are here to bring the fiesta to your familia! Sign up for either a 1, or 3 month subscription and receive incredible bilingual & Spanish children’s books right to your door each month. We also have a gift option that is great for a baby shower gift or birthdays. At checkout, just check"this is a gift" and choose if you want it to renew or not.

How much does My Spanish Sorpresa cost?

My Spanish Sorpresa is very affordable and the longer you subscribe the better your savings will be! This goes with both of our plans: Sorpresa Book Subscription & Super Sopresa Book Subscription. Read about our subscription options and prices here.

What is the difference between: Sorpresa Book Subscription & Super Sopresa Book Subscription?

With our regular Sopresa Book Subscription every month your child will receive 2 beautiful new Bilingual  children books that are handpicked by our passionate team. You can upgrade to our Super Sorpresa Book Subscription and in addition to your 2  books you will receive worksheets and an activity for your little ones and family that goes with the theme of the book. With the Super Sorpresa you will have the tools to practice Spanish all month long. 

What if I received a book my child already has?

Comunidad is a very important word to everyone here at My Spanish Sorpresa. If you receive a book that your child already has, we encourage you to share it with your community. Snap a picture of you sharing your book to someone else, and receive $5 off your next order. Need some ideas as to who to share them with? Drop it off at a local charity, your child’s classroom, or even give it to your neighbor! We think this could be a great chance to interact with those around you and help make a small difference for children’s Bilingual literacy. Translation: Comunidad = Community

If I sign up today, how do I know which month's subscription I will receive? 

Our subscriptions run from the 1st of each month to the next 10th day of the month. For example, if you sign up for a subscription on January 5th, you will receive the January package that will ship out on the 15th. Alternatively, if you sign up on January 10th, you will be receiving the February package when they ship out of our facility on the 15th. If the 15th falls on a weekend or a holiday, orders will be shipped on the following business day. For the Christmas holiday, we will try to ship earlier to help the package get to its destination a little early. Delivery of your order depends on where you are located. Most orders will arrive within 5-15 business days. 

What if this month’s My Spanish Sorpresa is sold out?

 If the current month's subscription sell out before the 10th, all subsequent orders purchased between the sellout date and the 10th  will be considered pre-orders for the next month. My Spanish Sorpresa will post a "sold out" notification on our website and social media pages and let you know via email.


What payment methods do you accept?

We accept debit and credit card payment from Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. 

Why is my credit card being declined?

There are a few things you can try before contacting us. Please double check to make sure we accept the form of payment you are trying to enter by looking at the list above. Make sure that the billing information you are entering matches your credit card number exactly. If you are still having trouble, contact us and we can help you out!

What currency will I be charged in?

You will be charged in US dollars. 

I didn’t receive an order confirmation for my subscription. What do I do?

No worries! Shoot us a quick email at with the subject: Order Confirmation. In your email please include your email address that is linked with your My Spanish Sorpresa account and the date of your purchase. Our team will send you the invoice.

What do I do if I accidentally signed up for more than one subscription?

Contact our customer service team who would be happy to look into your account for you. A refund will be given when needed. Email us at


I want to purchase a gift for a special someone. How does this work?

Libros make awesome gifts! If you would like to purchase a My Spanish Sorpresa subscription as a gift, simply choose the subscription option you would like to give as a gift and check the "This is a gift" box on the checkout page. We do not currently offer custom gift messaging.

Accounts and Billing

When will I be billed for my My Spanish Sorpesa subscription?

If this is your first time signing up for My Spanish Sorpesa, you will be billed immediately upon your first purchase for the total amount you have selected. Your subscription will renew on the last day of the month of the next cycle if you do not cancel.

How does renewal work?

You will be charged immediately upon signing up for a My Spanish Sorpresa Subscription cycle. Once the subscription cycle you have chosen is over, you will continue to be re-billed for the same cycle unless you change your subscription or cancel the service. Month-to-month plan: You will be charged for one month, unless you have changed your plan. 3-Month plan: After you receive three My Spanish Sorpresa Subscriptions, you will be automatically renewed for another three months. 

Am I able to skip a month without losing my subscription?

Yes you can! When you log onto your My Spanish Sorpresa account you can click on the ‘Skip a Month’ button. It will allow you to skip one month and then your subscription will continue on as normal.

I can’t remember my login details for my account. What do I do?

Shipping and Tracking

Which countries do you ship to?

Currently we only ship to the United States.

When will my My Spanish Sorpresa Subscription be shipped?

All orders are shipped out by the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on a weekend or a holiday, orders will be shipped on the following business day. For the Christmas holiday, we will try to ship earlier to help the package get to its destination a little early. Delivery of your order depends on where you are located. Most orders will arrive within 5-15 business days.


How long will it take for my My Spanish Sorpresa order to arrive?

The following estimated delivery time frame below begins 1 business day after your order has shipped from our warehouse: Expected delivery times to the USA are 5-15 business days.

How do I track my order?

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email that will have all the tracking information you need. This number can also be found in your profile information on our website.

My tracking number isn’t updating. What do does this mean?

The tracking information will be updated 24-48 hours after you receive notification that it has shipped. If the time period passes and an update is still not available, please contact customer service at In your email please include the subject: Shipping Tracking and in your email please list your order ID so we can assist you.

I didn’t receive a shipping confirmation email for my subscription. What do I do?

Sorry about that! Shoot us a quick email with your order ID as well as the email address that is linked with your My Spanish account and we can send it your way. Subject: Shipping Confirmation.

Ay Caramba! We are so sorry. Please contact customer service as soon as possible so we can verify that your address is correct and take any action needed to get you your order! You can contact us at subject: Missing Order.

How do I change/update my shipping address?

Log in to your My Spanish Sorpresa account and edit your information under your profile. Please note that your shipping address must be updated before the 10th of the month in order for the package to go to that new location. If you require assistance updating your shipping address, please contact us! Subject: Update Address. 

Canceling your Subscription

How do I cancel my subscription?

Sorry to see you go! Simply log in to your account, click EDIT under SUBSCRIPTIONS and click CANCEL subscription. If you have any months remaining, you will be refunded for those months depending on where you are in your subscription cycle. Do you have more questions? What is the last day I can cancel before I get billed again?

You must cancel before the 10th of the month if you do not want your subscription to renew.

How do I sign up again after having previously cancelled?

Simply visit and place another order. You can then choose your subscription duration and begin again.
